Committee For A Better Atlanta Releases City Candidate Evaluations

The Committee for a Better Atlanta (CBA), a coalition of Atlanta businesses and business organizations, released its Consumer Reports-style evaluations today of the candidates running for Fulton County Commission. The CBA Voter Guide “scores” candidates on business issues important to the community at-large.

Updated: Scores by Race

In September, the Committee for a Better Atlanta released its Consumer Reports-style evaluations of the candidates running for Mayor and City Council. The CBA Voter Guide “scored” candidates on business issues important to the community at-large. Following the election, we have updated the scores by race to include the candidates original score with the addition of the number of votes and percentage of the total votes each candidate received in the General Election.

Post-Election Coverage

After months on the campaign trail, Tuesday’s election day brought out thousands of voters. The race for the next mayor of Atlanta was largely anticipated and results concluded with Mary Norwood obtaining 46% of the vote followed by Kasim Reed with 36%. There were several news outlets that covered the race, hour by hour, throughout the day. Others attended parties and reported on the candidates’ reaction once the votes were tallied and reported.
