Committee for a Better Atlanta Evaluates City of Atlanta Candidates In an ongoing effort to positively impact local governance, the CBA is interviewing and ranking candidates for all City of Atlanta offices for the 2009 general election! CBA is a non-partisan coalition of business and civic advocates.   The Committee for a Better Atlanta is a business coalition whose mission is to foster a healthy business environment by advocating a common business and civic agenda to policymakers as well as citizens. The 2009 election will be an important one for Atlanta. In the past eight years, we have enjoyed a visionary and ethical mayor. But Mayor Shirley Franklin leaves office in January 2010, and it is crucial that we build on her accomplishments - and go further in improving Atlanta and its city government. Elected officials are critical because they determine the infrastructure and services that make a city desirable. Elections for City of Atlanta's mayor, city council president and all city council seats will be held this year on Nov. 3.
